Disappointment abounds. The delay in readouts for MF is a concern. An interim analysis in 2026 could result in early approval if the results are brilliant (one can hope). Profitability may be further out than expected (flatness of sales) hence the weak SP. Expect downgrades and bailouts from big institutions. Will the now excruciatingly low sp attract a buyer? Current-day WS analysts are nothing but swayers of hedge funds and traders! They can’t have proper knowledge and ability to judge LT investment factors. In case of Geron: Isn’t Rytelo licensed already by FDA? Hasn’t the EU committee given its green signal? Aren’t suffering patients and their physicians happy with Rytelo? Aren’t geron scientists, most of who left Janssen, working hard to use Rytelo for other hematological applications and seeing the scope? What else do I need to know for my LT investment? The board needs to step up here. Chip is a failure. He could have sold this company for well over $7 one year ago and he pushed a strategy to go alone. Any smart person would look at the prospects of a company with one drug and hundreds of millions in clinical costs (not to mention years) ahead of it and decided the risk of going alone is too high. Most institutions bought into this believing it was a likely M&A flip for a quick return. The price has been slipping all year as these institutions slowly dumped this once they realized Chip's strategy to go alone. He needs to be fired immediately and bring someone in to find a buyer. General advice from investment community --- When there is a substantial break in the PPS (like Geron today), wait 2 weeks before doing anything to let the dust settle. Geron's PPS is in flux for numerous reasons that are not well understood. Rytelo is a proven good blood cancer medicine with great potential in combinations....

All the naysayers were correct. I was expecting more than flat revenue this quarter. EMA is still on track, despite longs thinking it would happen faster than JS predicted. MF being extended portends good clinical results, as the peeps just arent dying. Combos will be the difference between a blockbuster and the current meh. Regardless we just bought a bunch more time before any big liftoff....

Its obvious to me that the only hope , and what the maket was hoping for, is a buyout. Seems like nothing else will move this stock. Certainly not EU approval, that will be a non-event. Perhaps Chip being removed may help, but aside from that I think we are Doomed to sit here again, as we have..year after year, just waiting. This is truly a form of tortue. I have held since 2001 and everyday now I feel like such a fool for thinking that somehting other than what has happened will happen. Managements of all small growing companies with potentially prospective products want day traders and shorts out from being shareholders because they are a menace when they seek funding. And, they know that even most analysts work for hedge funds. This is the modern-day WS reality which has turned the market into a gambling casino. If they can't get the MF trial enrolled, it tells you there's little demand for this drug in that indication. Otherwise, that trial would have been fully enrolled eons ago. And if sales will be flat this quarter in MDS, what is the actual demand going to be for the drug going forward? This is a question a skilled CEO could easily handle. But Scarlett is not that CEO. He could have sold the entire company for a huge profit. But he wanted to go the INCY route and commercialize the drug himself. Unfortunately, he's not as smart as the people that run INCY. Today's selloff is what you investors are left with. I've been warning you for the last year that this is the worst investment in the history of the stock market....

this must be due for a stock reverse split because we are actually lower in stock price at this level than when they dropped the price prior to the vote to see if the FDA committee to allow it to go to a review for possible FDA approval occurred. well, here is the mere facts of the situation, if you can take and believe the 12/31/2024 report of institutional holdings on GERN, when it closed at $3.54, the likes of Goldman, Blackrock and many other huge firms took it on the chin to some extent even if they have been part of the big cabal selling down the last 20 days of nearly everyday being over 10M shares days which is still way lower than $3.54 on 12/31/2024. So today is one last flame out that sets the stock and now they will come back in, buy it at $1.60/shr. and let it run back up to $3-4/shr. over the next year and double or triple their money and make all their losses back. For those who have held this for any period of time, today is a disaster. For new money, this is a screaming buy. Market cap of ~950 mil with over $400 mil in cash means an Enterprise value of ~550 mil. Even if revenue does not grow from here, 550 mil for 200 mil of revenue at over 90% gross margin is a steal! I am buying as much as I can now at this new level and will wash out all my higher price stock in 30 days to harvest the tax loss and end up with a reset of my average price paid. Stock price was over 5 in June, 2024. Before any good feedback on revenue. Gernee clocked about $75 million in revenues since then. Half the market cap is in cash. Missing earnings by 0.02 caused an overreaction. Revenue is the key. They can cut costs to raise earnings for qtr1 in my opinion. EU approval after CHMP would be icing on the cake. Been adding in GERN since december and have been severely disappointed with its performance despite the promise of RYTELO, the FDA approval, and the potential for EU expansion!I must say though, does a drug not take some time to gain traction? Getting to market last June, would the utilization rate by doctors grow as a network effect of its efficacy in larger numbers over time?It seems okay that revenue growth from RYTELO isn't yet explosive, it's kinda what I expected! Most margin calls settled today. Many cheerleaders who were 2:1 or maybe 3:1 on margin got crushed today. If management wouldn't of said flat sales this quarter, this would not of been such a blood bath. How do they know what March has in for revenue? EU approval in March. Do they say it will not happen until 2nd qtr? These guys could of done a much better job on conference call. I just read the thing and was aghast at their guidance. Let's hope some of the new hires are hungry for revenue and appeasing the EU....

Let the bidding start----- Rytelo's FDA approvals, current medical successes and combination potential advanced significantly in 2024. That is 100% independent of Geron's PPS (~$1.60). Irrespective Chip's presumed abilities w the investment community, what's clear is they have a sales/marketing problem, not a product problem. And pharma tracking this with even the remotest interest gets this, and gets that if the company solves this problem on their own the take-out price will be much higher. Now is the time for that offer to be made. Three months ago a take-out could have been 10/share. Now it's 6-7. Those that got in at a buck sixty today may be handsomely rewarded....

as some how pointed out by Omar earlier today and I don't know how it go the info. ahead of it being p[ublished at the nasdaq website, through 2/14/25 GERN short interest dropped by 4.8M, pretty large drop, must have grown substantially for the weeks after that through end of Feb. here. Shares traded today were 93M but throughout the day SP was flat around 1.62 give or take a few cents! What does that say?!!! Buyers and sellers the same?!!! If this is not the WS conspiracy, then what is it?!!! Scared retail traders took unbearable losses and the WS accumulators grabbed those cheap!! Did those 27 analyst upgraded deliberately, knowing the coming (or manipulated?) downdrag for which their bosses were playing with covered shorting?!! Who do you trust in this rampantly and heavily manipulated modern-day casino? Is this securities trading market or a securities swapping manipulation place?!!!...

To try to stay positive on this horrible day look at the similar trading pattern last March with a spike down followed by a 2 dollar rally. Maybe it could repeat. Most Marchs in Geron have seen a low in the stock price. The company needs to get it's act together....

I went back and listened to todays Geron earnings call. I wish they would have addressed how many employees they currently have unless I missed the citing and I wish they would have said how many patients are currently enrolled using Rytelo in the low risk MDS arm so we could grasp at these rev. numbers how many patients to that Total addressable market of 15,400 we actually have. Lastly I would have loved to hear how many patients have started and then stopped due to cytopenia flare ups where the doctor had to discontinue or also how many patients started and then discontinued due to NO measurable benefit being witnessed in the treated patient. Just musings as a large shareholder who can't get a question into the Q & A and doesn't employee an analyst capable of launching a question written by me to address these specific curiosities....

Unlike SAVA and so many others where a candidate fails a trial, the collapse of the SP today was bc the salesforce is failing to launch. The message boards after a failed trial are filled w hopeful people praying for data reconfiguration/reconsideration. Pie in the sky. Retooling sales strategy isn't pie in the sky....

Guys, very simple, here is the straight math and 20 times sales is the driver here and that could be argued as too conservative in biotech or pharma but lets stay in the realm of sensibility and conservative discussion. From what GERN just reported today off the latest quarter., $47.5M sales, that would be $190M/yr. at 20 times or $3.8B and with 650M shares outstanding that puts GERN company to sale itself at $5.85/shr. If it was 605M shares outstanding it would be $6.28/shr. Just seems like this should be sold anytime and at a steal given big pharma knows they would immediately cut work force, lift sales revenues and get foreign approval on board.
