the last time I saw a stock close on a Friday with the number of the beast, during the start of a rate cut cycle, while we lead up to an election, the stock dropped so fast, that some say, even after the company long went bankrupt, floor traders can still be heard distantly yelling, sell sell sell in the halls of the NYSE. I think something like 10 dudes committed suicide that day. awful awful stuff.... but, I'm sure this time is different for LUMN...right?...........right?...

Ever notice how fast a Friday comes around when your having fun. Weekends will drag by waiting for Monday to show up in order for LUMN to continue it's ride up. At least it's something to look forward to. Lots of things are happening behind the scenes that will make this climb even farther. I've been invested in oil but this is far better. I think part of people's trouble owning this stock is for 1.5 years this stocked moved 2, 3, 5 cents a day. It went from about 7.15 to 6.71, that's not a major dive and we are likely green today....if that's too much to handle, do yourself a favor and own less and enjoy life. We are in good shape....

Looks like the only shares to be traded are very low amounts... Everyone is very happy to just be holding what they have acquired or continue to acquire. Most probably acquired 10 times the number of shares they would normally hold when the SP was given away at below 4 dollars. So it's going to be harder and harder to scare out or shake out some extra shares to acquire.......

LUMN had a nice YTD stock price appreciation run. Sold all LUMN shares today and captured the gain prior to the QTR call. The nearly $7B market cap valuation is rich for a telco business transitioning to a PaaS/NaaS software-centric solution platform for large B2B customers and severe competition. LUMN has many challenges to achieve revenue growth let alone deliver profitability in the next 5+ years. The inability to spinoff the consumer/SMB business in a timely manner and paydown the signficant debt pile makes it less likely of LUMN being acquired....

In many ways, the "sell off" probably would be considered as a massive failure to deliver on the expected results. The "team" was expecting this move would drop the PPS by .75 or more. Someone didn't expect there to be "contingency trades" based on if the first one was successful. EXAMPLE: sell 10 @ 6.70, post 1000 @ same price (someone is buying it) computer trading at its best/worst.This post will probably be termed as a novice move, um.... sure, Ferrets should have thought of this potential condition. Donkey has delt with more single ply than most....ALOHA, drinks are available on the Catamaran.........

This is like watching a different technique on controlling PPS almost every day. As I watch the ASK queue more shares come down from .06 above Market and then shares are added back. Basically, never getting to the point of where the BID overpowers the depth of ASK and pushed it higher. Buyers want the lowest price, and sellers seem committed to the 6.78ish zone.While consolidation is good, it is boring to watch. Magically, it loses .04 PPS.Ferret Queen referred to "excessive over-hang". JMO, this is watching artificial "over-hang"....

I’m really not worried about LUMN until other financial news or deals are released. At this point…it’s holding exactly where it should until the company can prove its worth more. I’m not here to spew unrealistic positivity or negativity but I think the longs know this is a great investment for the next 2 years...

Chinese markets have been closed for a few days. They reopen on Tuesday. Your guess what happens to markets but I’m guessing bullish. Look at Q’s 3 month chart. By Thursday-Friday of next week, if there’s no major negative political news, the markets will break upwards and rocket, but if there’s bad news, it’s retest the low like Sept 6th all over. We were reaaaally lucky the strike is over....

Not surprised with Goldman Sachs reaffirmed Analyst report released this morning. Given their traders have been sitting on the Ask (selling) for a couple weeks now. For any of you that cannot access it -- they weren't outright "negative," but they did throw a lot of "shade" on the stock and arrived at a fair-market price target of $4.50/share. Not so good and frankly fairly negative given LUMN is now at $6.75. I'll sit on the sidelines and wait for Goldman to get out of the trade (in Ernst). Goldman's negativity doesn't help the cause....

The Motley Fool is a bunch of inexperienced, Tier 2-schooled Analysts. I'm not a fan. However, David Jagielski is one of the more experienced within Motley Fool .... and he rightfully is focusing on margins and LUMN ability to correct its history of money-losing contracts. I normally don't pay much attention to anything Motley Fool publishes. However, I do pay a lot of attention to what Goldman Sachs publishes, and today's-released $4.50 Analyst price target for LUMN is not good....

for once, we finally see an MF twist piece putting the BK noise to rest. Lumen won't go bankrupt anytime soon, and its stock still looks undervalued relative to its peers. With an enterprise value of $23.4 billion (which includes all of its long-term debt), it trades at just 1.8 times this year's sales and 6 times its adjusted EBITDA. By the same measure, AT&T and Verizon trade at 6.3 and 6.8 times this year's sales, respectively....

In a nutshell shell, Lumn is going to continue upwards regardless of all the Desperate shorts postings, same kids that said BK or reverse splits etc Here’s my opinion only, Two reasons Lumn tanked under 1 1- the sudden complete cancellation of a 10% dividend, which took all dividend funds MM etc out of the stock sold out As well as retail dividend investors, it eventually tanked it under a dollar as we all know 2- the large debt. For any of you that have been debating whether LUMN is technically labeled as has having non-investment grade bonds or senior notes --- S&P just took away any ratings on the senior notes and labelled/rated them "SD" which standards for "SELECTIVE DEFAULT." This rating change occurred on Oct. 2nd due to the very bad terms needed to be offered to creditors who extended the Senior Notes. Specifically, S&P noted:"This is due to a debt exchange transaction that S&P Global Ratings views as distressed and tantamount to a default. The company exchanged some of its debt for new debt with higher coupons, fees, and tighter covenants, but lenders did not receive adequate compensation.'EMPHASIS ADDED = "tantamount to a default."ALSO -- Fitch changed LUMN's senior notes to CCC- ...... YIKES! That's about as low as you can go and approx. 85% of the companies that have bonds rated at this level go …...

As @Madeline rightfully pointed out last night, both FITCH and S&P credit ranking agencies last week moved its ratings of the Senior Notes from "JUNK" status to now be in TECHNICAL DEFAULT. Specifically, S&P moved the notes to 'Selective Default' (SD-rating). That's a death nail if you need to access the fixed capital/debt-markets further. The Markets are now discovering this technical default and are now dropping LUMN accordingly. The March to the $3 -$4 range continues as LUMN has now dropped 15% in 2 weeks, and approaching -10% this week in a green market!...

In order for LUMN to get out of the deep financial hole it is in it needs to reverse the revenue declines and drastically improve its gross margins on contracts. STOP buying business by low-balling contract prices only to bleed profusely. In order to grow rapidly (or at least recover lost revenues) it will need to continuously access the debt markets. HOWEVER, what will LUMN now do given the terrible ratings drop on its Notes over the past week. This is a significant impediment/problem and costly downgrade....

FYI -- Last night I alerted you all about the S&P debt-rating decline/disaster. moving to the "default" levels. Just learned this morning that Moody's, who has LUMN debt rated at the lower levels of "junk," has LUMN "UNDER REVIEW" and will likely drop the debt to "technical default" ratings as S&P did last week. It's getting ugly folks....

Ignore the noise... S&P is going higher, don't fight the fed, November and December are so near and you know what that means, inflation is under control for now as it seems... Look what big boys do, not what they talk... Large funds have increased their position considerably since last year... And last but also important nobody buys 55.000.000 shares for a quick buck and without good research, on the other hand it seems that we have a group and they are looking for a quick buck with 900.000 shorted shares, maybe Sammie Pooh friends, who knows... I am not even mentioning creditors and their faith in turnaround and completed tsa. They certainly know better and have more information than us small investors...

You have to weed out the noise and stay focused. I started buying CTL in 2016, collected so much dividend until 2022 that I am still up by over 50% while increasing my shares by 10X and waiting for dividend payment to start again. Donkey is still @ HRC..... BUT..... he reminded me that the trading volume can tell much about the picture being painted. Volume during the last 2 hours is less than a typical day, the bulk of the volume happened in the first 45 minutes. There has only been a handful of lots over 15K after 1000. This could totally switch if someone released shares to sell down.Someone didn't have shares to buy down the market this morning. OR, someone had it "splained" to them, what the bigger picture is. Today was an interesting day. The Russell showed us how fast these small cap stocks can bounce after being beaten down for years. Anyone that was going to sell had sold. Just a few thoughts, T mobile is competing with AT&T and Verizon in fiber connections to home.T mobile has big plans until 2030 but if it is going slow organically, what then? Verizon Frontier saga is not finished yet, we know the current price but for some shareholders that is not enough as it seems... Also Uniti/Windstream merger not finished yet but why are they doing merger in the first place? I can't imagine that google will sell their fiber business? Quite opposite what I have understanded Google Fiber’s expansion is marching on,and probably like a separate entity... I guess my confusion would be - we dropped $1 in the last month - if SS was buying 38 or 55M shares - that would mean that GS and UBS were selling much more than that?? Or the SS buys in Sept drove it from 4.50 to the 7's and then the GS and UBS sells have driven it from the 7's to the 6's??thx for any thoughts from the smart folks......

I have shares at 18 when there was a nice divvy and a nice chunk at 1.40.... but break even is still 9.50 - so I'll wait until 10 for the full keg (won't be selling - just will tap the full keg).... From Third Point: Telecom/cable have been poor performers year to date due to overhang from the growth of FWA (aka "wireless cable") and increased fiber building, however the sector re-rated materially on two deals. First, Lumen Technologies (LUMN) announced that its Level 3 subsidiary was doing a fiber infrastructure build to support AI growth. Our aversion to secular decline (most of LUMN is melting copper infrastructure) kept us out of the situation but the AI fairy dust resulted in a massive rerating of LUMN debt and equity. Donkey was listening to some Podcasts today, one was discussing where there were viable sites of 50 acres, good supply of power, water and FIBER backbone within 10 miles. Severely challenged Company and financials -- once again, without any meaningful announcements with verifiable #s then all the recent releases are being categorized as HYPE and thus, LUMN is highly overvalued. Thus, the smart traders will grind this down. In the past 6 trading days they chewed it down by 29.6% (AH on the 11th @$11.00!!!) and there's no meaningful support! The shorts that came in at 10 are going to learn the same lesson the shorts that came in at 8 learned. It's easy to get into a position but much harder to get out. None of these longs are going to help you cover. They didn't sell at 10 and they won't sell at 7.50. I expect lowering volume in the days going forward until material information comes out or until end of quarter....

Wireless will never handle the loads necessary for AI which will eventually be the vast majority of all internet traffic requiring orders of magnitude more data processing than traditional traffic....

I am looking for LUMN SP to continue fall to reflect its fundamentals which are still poor and expected to be poor through 2026. In my view this is a long-term play through at least 2026 until we begin to see real growth. Everything that KJ has said has come to past except the unexpected AI boom which they are adjusting to. $8 billion in new sales is a biggie.... Honest question: why are you guys tracking the volumes and trade lot sizes ?Unless you are trading / scalping at the price movements, these near terms changes seems meaningless ? The fundamentals won't change over a few weeks, I would be a happy bag holder as long as Lumen chugging along with steady new contracts every couple of months.Institutions would perform hidden/iceberg orders to conceal their activities/intentions, even with level 2 data it's still hard to tell whether these big funds are "collecting" or "distributing" collectively. Furthermore, their analysts make mistakes all the time. They are just rich kids with more chips than us. Their movements are just noises....

did I read the PR correctly? Only about 300 million dollars of tendered notes were offered for payment during the early buyback program. Note holders NOT wanting early payment, so therefore feel extremely safe with unsecured note holding in our gem....

Market is getting increasingly impatient not seeing any improvements in LUMN's EPS and shrinking revenues! Recently, when my Frontier "elite" DSL internet failed, I received an offer from Verizon. The offer seemed too good to be true. Verizon claimed they could restore my internet service within 18 hours with service that was superior to my previous Frontier DSL which was now defunct. Thanks to all that responsed to my early post. My Achilles heal in my investing is to hang on too long to a stock that is dying a slow death. I hope this is not the case concerning my LUMN stock. For now I'll stay long even though I'm in a $8.80. Thanks for the input....

You really have to ask yourself one question…do you think Kate Johnson has put her career on the line to “pump and dump” this company. I personally dont think so, as I think she took this on to define herself as a CEO that can rebuild a company, but anything can happen. I’m buying more because I think AI is a hot topic but what facilitates it is somewhat boring to most retail investors....

Too many institutional traders been in this fiber/network sector for decades and have already suffered through the best of the "puffers." Thus, no one is buying the LUMN hyping with detail and experienced improved #s ... until they get discernable, trustworthy data, then they're selling -- it's overvalued and going back o the $4- $5 zone...

the "options Pros" don't Always get their way...but under typical, no-news trading periods they tend to move the shareprice to close to where they want...I expect we will likely see a range between "under $7 to around $8" in the coming weeks...barring any news of "significance"....referenced open interest for December expiries...but...we must be aware of the huge expiry Jan. 17 2025....just a friendly reminder...🤨...BTW, I have no feeling of malice or hatred for the shorts...I actually must say I appreciate their efforts...in particular those who forced the shareprice down earlier in the year...before the June and July monthly expiries I had sold an inordinate number of contracts at the $1.50 strike...both puts and calls...The calls expired worthless..and I kept the premiums...the Puts, though, were ITM for both months...and I was forced to buy shares...a lot of shares at a cost of $1.50 per...minus the premiums I had collected on selling …...

Just adding to RJ's comments on revenue growth - no doubt it's the driver we need to see... I wasn't sure what I picked up from the earnings - it had a feeling like these deals are so new or so complex they are having trouble figuring out how to price it, or what the impact was going to be on rev and earnings during what time period... Definitely felt squishy... They could have just wanted to avoid 2025 talk - not uncommon - but just felt nebulous....Gotta give us something and soon, hard to give back all this good mojo.......

SP closed at the high on August 23rd i.e. $6.74...If it falls lower next resistance is below $4...Good opportunity to layer in to more shares if you are inclined...We may get a catalyst when Q4 earnings come out since they should provide 2025 guidance. Still a way to go. Steady as she goes. They are working an additional $3 billion in possible new AI orders. It is all about execution and slow upward motion. It appears to be all positive but slow progress....

I know...who cares...but I am buying, selectively...options I previously sold...so WHEN the Big Poppy happens...I will be in position to take advantage...NOT Everybody will be here when it happens...such is Destiny...?......when/how do the Shorts "cover"....???...it will be nearly impossible, without financial pain...if the Company stays on course...Personally, I want the short interest to remain elevated...until such time as a Big Squeeze is inevitable...just imagine that point in time...in the future...when 70,000,000 shares worth of panic-covering compete with 50,000,000 shares of new buying...Not just yet, please...but I am working on its "manifestation"...😌...likely a bit later than sooner..IMO...

My suggestion is to ignore the short term trading and look at the Call Options for Dec.25 & Dec.26 at a Strike Price of $10+, they wouldn't be selling these calls at those prices if the outlook was negative. Buying Jan.26 Call Options at a Strike of $12 or higher is a low cost bet on a rising SP. And if the SP goes above $17, you may even want to buy the shares under your Call Option, especially if you believe, as many of us do, that LUMN can be above $40/share by 2027/28....

There's been extensive rumblings at the headquarters over the past 2-3 months re: year-end asset reserves that the external auditor is recommending. The association between Auditor and internal accounting staff is said to be very "tense" at the moment. Many folks through different sources have mentioned the same. Frankly, we don't need any more surprises at the moment....

Traditional metrics do not apply here. Many moving parts. SP is function of momentum on catalysts and positive motion toward implementation of their turnaround. They have said they expect to take $1 BILLION out of expenses by integrating their 4 disparate administrative systems into one. Target completion around end of 2025. At same time they are executing on about $7 billion in new business they have received for expanding customer networks for AI compatibility. In addition they have another $3 billion in potential opportunities they are working. This is a long term play. I do not expect meaningful net growth until 2026 since some of their legacy business continues to decline.. Until then it will bounce around because of options traders, headlines and unexpected catalysts. A wild card is possible acquisition by another company which I think is a low probability....

I think we will stay low until year end. You have these shorts who run weak, no name, so called hedge funds. In these funds they have clueless high net worth clients, probably the hedge fund managers extended family. They make a buck on paper shorting LUMN, and then they show their clueless investors how well they did for the quarter. I call this manipulative window dressing…....

honestly, looking for any rational reason why this has sold off so much after running up so fast. Never seen anything like it on a company that has been paying off its debt and has a bright future. any legitimate constructive feedback would be appreciated. I mean the past month has just been brutal. I believe in the company I believe in the CEO I’m just kind of finding this movement hard to believe....

Lumen aspires to be the connectivity foundation of the entire economy of the US. They got some headstart. While I personally hate the necessary virtuality of larger aspects of our lives, there is really no choice in getting services, training, and things done. Wireless traffic depends on fiber between communication hubs. Until someone/something makes entanglement practical, that's our best bet for now....

If you hold this stock in a margin account put a good until cancel order in at say $25.00 a share. If you do that your shares can not be used to short those shares. I hold many shares and I feel good that none of my shares can be shorted. If by some chance, I wake up and the shares are at $28 a share I am ok. The money made would be crazy money I am worth at that point. Do your part to all longs....

I’m too skittish. Almost bought 75000 shares yesterday at $6.35 limit. Had the order in preview when stock was $6.38 but didn’t pull the trigger. Would have been a nice payday had I done it. I really was testing to see if the stock moved up as soon as I previewed an order and I don’t think it did, but it wasn’t a market order so maybe that’s why. Would love to own 100k shares but I was really waiting for the $5 range to average up....

The replacement cost to build fiber optic network, similar to Lumen Network is estimated around $160B. The AI data centers need to connect at light speed otherwise good are $40,000 NVidia ultrafast chips and High bandwidth Memory chips ? Who else has Fibre optic national network even close to Lumen ? Only hangover is $18B debt. With Amazon, Microsoft, Google and Meta having signed the deal with Lumen, how can Lumen not succeed ?...

When will AT&T announce purchase of LUMNs Quantum and ILEC? T needs to expand in the western states. I predict $18 billion cash buyout? VZ bought frontier for $20 billion and frontier had 2.2 million fiber subscribers. Quantum has over 1million fiber subscribers and 3.5 million fiber enabled locations plus the remaining copper ILEC. Not sure if worth less than the Frontier deal or not. Every quarter Quantum signs up new fiber subscribers the sale price goes up....

Q4 could be the quarter where Revenues reverse and show growth for the first time in many, many quarters. At same time they are reducing interest expense and have improved cash flow from new AI business and up front payments from hyperscalers. Could be the pivot quarter or at least close to. I could be way off here but since the stock is a nothing burger right now, gonna throw it out there.....I tuned into the CFO Goldman Sachs conversation and a line he said has stuck in my head ever since because it's contrary to what he's said multiple times in the past. When talking of selling the legacy side of the business, he said, "If we can't find a suitable buyer that recognizes the value, we may keep it....its a great business" Again, maybe I'm way off but they've never wanted to keep that side and have been clear they want to sell it and pay down debt...said it multiple times. Could they be closer than people realize to having a buyer and throwing that statement out there to let them know, you aren't getting it for cheap??? Saw this today,Bullish option flow detected in Lumen Technologies ( LUMN ) with 9,583 calls trading, 1.2x expected, and implied vol increasing almost 4 points to 77.70%. Jan-25 8 calls and Jan-25 5 calls are the most active options, with total volume in those strikes near 5,800 contracts. The Put/Call Ratio is 0.37. Earnings are expected on February 11th....

LUMN is dropping like a stone! Now -40% in one month and the technicals are even weakening as I type. Mgmt. at very soon, needs to provide detailed #s and timing in order to stand a chance to keep the stock above $5.00. Their hype isn't adequate to blunt the poor operating results and lessen the bruising caused by very large, late, and declining forward guidance for both 2024 and 2025. So part of my proceeds from LUMN have been placed into VZ which goes EX on 01/10/25 and pays on 02/03/25 in the amount of $0.6775 per share or $2.71 annually, which is to say about 6.45%. The company is expected to make about $4.10 per share this year. VZ is doing well because they are my new ISP. Without wires, coaxial cables, fiber optic cables or any other capital investment or service costs, VZ has been able to provide competitive internet service with existing plant. This means a greater return on pre-existing investment. Speed check today indicated 46.79 Mbps down and 6.10 up. For a flat rate all inclusive charge of $60 per month, guaranteed for 2 years, this is hard to beat. Plus the modem has a nice aesthetic....

Cramer's comments on Lumen today were devastating. He warned specifically that Lumen should never have gone up as it did, and that it was likely to fall further. He said it is still up way too much and to avoid it. My problem with the Lumen recent announcements is that they are projects which produce a one time source income as compensation for the project as opposed to rental income for Lumen owned infrastructure. Further, based on my experience so far with Verizon Wireless ISP, the future of the AI application will be wireless, it will not be tied down by wires, cables, and fibers. A lot of calls for tomorrow have been cleared out. Looks like a pre-expiration exercise of options at 7 strike to roll into the 6.5 strike. Max pain has been shifted down to 6.5 but only slightly. There is virtually no difference in payout all the way to the 9 strike price. Interesting....

It should be noted that during September 2024, S&P chopped Lumen credit rating from CCC+ to CC and then to SD (selective default). In October, S&P indicated they would restore the CCC+ rating on the unaffected portion of the Lumen debt with the caveat that "the company's capital structure is still unsustainable" and that's a direct quote. I had been hoping that VZ would take over LUMN, but they chose Frontier instead. S&P notes that VZ will continue to maintain their BBB+ (investment grade) rating despite consuming Frontier. So the no loss movement of capital from LUMN to VZ seemed to make a lot of sense....

2025 will be another poor year in terms of net profit primarily because they are spending vast amounts of money expanding their network to meet the needs of the $8 billion in AI hyperscale sales they have received while their legacy business continues to decline. At same time they are spending to streamline their 4 disparate admin systems into 1. This will improve their future expense position but not until 2026 timeframe. They have already pushed out their debt maturity 5 plus years which strengthened their financial position. Bottom line is that I believe they will begin to show good growth, but it is at least 4 or 5 quarters out. There is no reason for the SP to go up on fundamentals so it will be all about momentum and perceived catalyst and option action. In fact if SP responds to fundamentals it should continue to fall providing good …...

Sad to say I'm in at a cost basis of $8.40. I'm not willing to buy anymore to bring that down. I do think that I'm not going to wake up one day with Lumn bankrupt and delisted. Looks like I'm a long. The pain is real, lol. Good luck to all with your investments....

Thought higher than $10 plus; still holding most of shrs still in green but lost huge gains. I expected this to be higher than SOUN and never expected soun to be where it is today. Made up from SOUN! Soun was a sleeper after it reached $10 plus few months ago so I expect Lumn to do the same ; back towards highs....

They want to sell the part of their portfolio that is actually showing growth. That is a move of desperation. The reason is clear. All these "partnerships" they have been talking about cannot be fulfilled because of their tenuous financial condition. When a corporation engages another entity to complete an important project, like the installation of a communication system, the entity must be credit worthy so that there is a reasonable chance the project will be completed, and also that the entity will be able to service the project and provide various warranty guarantees as stated by contract. Lumen can't do that because their credit rating is not sufficient. What AI involved corporation is going to rely on a communication system provided by an entity with a bad credit rating? It would be a breach of fiduciary responsibility to engage an entity with a default on their rating history for …...

If LUMN is "short on cash", then why would LUMN buy in over $400M worth of Senior Notes that weren't maturing until 2025-2027? LUMN made this offer because that had more than enough cash to spend in buying most of this debt at a discount, and they reduced interest expense by ~$25M. FCF is currently projected at $1.3B, and they have $2.6B of cash and open credit facilities, plus ~$3B of depreciation expense, and new contracts are being signed each month, bringing new cash flow. Back to square one. I had high expectations than soun but soun rocked and Lumn disappointed many investors. She said 5x when stock was around this level, but never materialized so far. May be this will take some time before heading back up just like Sound did from $10 to $4-$5 and now over $20. Soun does have legit business that’s growing! Just saying...

Seems to me shorts are gonna be desperate and toasty if they believe their own nonsense. I wonder what will happen to the share price when they pay off a large chunk of their debt. Let me see, Lumen is gonna sell the slower growth section of their business, pay off debt, and focus on their HYPER growth segment. To me it seems like a brilliant plan that might get us a $20+ share price very quickly and at the same time crispy fry the shorts. I can't wait to see this play out!...

Very interesting thing happened this weekend. 36 of my 400 6.00 strike put contracts expired even though they were 8 cents ITM. The put buyer definitely collected the profit but clearing house chose to absorb the hit and keep the shares for 36 contracts instead of delivering them. Why would they do that?...

LUMN transformation proceeding nicely. I predict SP though will continue to fall as short-term fundamentals look terrible. It may even break down to low $3 which is where the up moves began in August. If they can close the sale of their consumer business at a good price, they will be able to pay down debt and reduce interest costs dramatically. That coupled with implementation of integrating their disparate admin systems will save them many millions in cost also. At same time they are implementing the $8 billion in new AI networking business that will put them in good stead. I predict that they will bottom out at about $11 billion in base recurring revenues and begin to rise from that point on. That is not expected to happen until 2026. Kate is doing a great job. Spent a few hours reviewing financials, press releases and inputting share price movements into an AI model for quantitative analysis.There is so much stacked up against their hyperscaler play. The business itself is growing losses and shrinking revenues.Strip away some of the hype and this is a $2bn company, and that’s generous.If market goes down in Q1 2025 as expected, this thing could be picked up in $2-$3 a share easily....

won't steer you here. if you're giving thought to using option chain to enter, you may, even at 5 and change, consider a butterfly at minimum. should you consider an outright buy long hold, i would again tepidly suggest you await some talk/chatter from stansbury regarding dividend announcement. any kind of dividend payout pittance, would provide footing. have a good weekend....

If the consumer fiber business is to be sold by Lumen, in my opinion, this will be good news for the Qwest notes. The destination company for these assets is likely to be financially stronger than Lumen, thus improving the credit rating of the Qwest paper. That is just a guess at this point....

AT&T to dump land lines by 2029...Im wondering what will replace it if anything.. I read something about land lines being replaced by over the air .. Could the landlines be replaced by stationary cell phone type devices. Reason Lumen is wanting to sell these assets as they arnt into over the air and their copper lines are obsolete. Lumen's balance sheet is going to look extra bad after asset sale and that's why shares trended down after the news. Already the company is at negative 7 billion dollars in equity but that's off of 33b. After sale it will still be neg 7 bil dollars in equity byt off of 26b and banks don't like that. Which in turn means higher borrowing rates. It's already being forced to take care of its debt by the bank. PE and bankers are over this one while retail dreams chased...

. Right now I believe that the serv delivery robots with nivida chips is all about "learning and data collection " for future training of different AI applications. Think of the sub conscious, the human brain and eyes take in 13000 pieces of information per second when moving from point a to point b, most which is disregarded due to our experience on what is important and what is needed to make the proper decisions. It's already been speculated on this board that part of the reason they want to shed the consumer side is that so Microsoft can swallow the AI transport infrastructure without the regulatory headaches that come with being considered a "telecom". However, the end of net neutrality may have ended the need for that. Now that they can legally prioritize AI traffic over everything else they don't just have to use private connectivity to guarantee speed, availability and latency contractual metrics. They can now use their consumer side as well, fully prioritized from coast to coast. Data Centers are coming whether we have the resources or not. Lumen will build because they have the infrastructure. The money is only beginning to sprout from private to government contracts. The amount of building money is showing billions with a "B". Lumen has fingers all over our country and across the ocean to. From someone who knows nothing about equities…I dropped this stock a month ago after investing around $4/share but feel it has great potential so reinvested 3 days ago. The lack of news releases and the extremely slow decline in price reeks of institutional loading. This will be a rocky week for LUMN. Ready to sell another 400 deep in the money puts at 5.50 strike price for a 61 cent premium. SP will have to hit slightly sub $5 for this play to go through for an overall cost basis of $4.895. I think CapN nailed it on the head. Expiration will keep LUMN depressed this week but starting Wednesday (Monday is a holiday and Tuesday the call options will be settled) it'll begin moving up like there was a positive news event. Shorts need to unwind their position but want to stay for this expiration....

...Is That All There Is"..🎵..???Well...here's "what it is"...Not only was the stock trading volume extremely Light...butthe Options trading volume was Incredibly light...(Check out the Option Chain)Which means...that a Ton of contracts, both Puts and Calls...but Mainly CALLs...will auto-exercise...and not all sellers of such contracts owned shares in the first place...sothat is why I suspect Short Interest will go even higher...and show up in the end-of-month report...which will come out too late (mid February) to be useful...to me...So...next week, I, being a self-centered gambling trader...will adjust my positions to prepare...for what I believe to be...a nice shareprice run-up...gradually...until the catalyst news we are awaiting shows up...all JMO...and everybody's got one...😁but seriously folks...I am very grateful for the good luck I have had with this stock...I expected it would have taken an additional year to reach a break-even point...yet my strategy was annointed...and I feel like "el rey"......

Sorry to say but this is could be the beginning of a negative AI news cycle. NVDA could end up at $75 or less. Lumen could touch the $3s. 2025 will be a very choppy ride for AI as investors will demand that these companies can actually show revenue from all this spending....

As the new DCs are built, it will become very obvious who is going to provide all the connectivity. The centers that house Q class computers will most likely have some extreme communications direct on the main trunk lines. Granted, a full build-out may take 2 years for communications but this is an investment for a capability 5-10 years out. If your a student of computing power increasing, the chips that are being built today will be obsolete in 18 months. This parade is forming down the street and hasn't started moving yet, but you sure can hear the bands warming up. Swim with Donkeys and TOROs.........

The shorts are controlling the current narrative, but we need to look at the Call Options 1-2 yrs out to see the true value of our future, and it is good. Look at CO expiring in 1/26, 12/26 & 1/27 at Strike Prices of $5, $7 & $10. We know that any reorganization is off the table, we have most of the needed infrastructure to support the planned AI data centers to be built, and the Chinese AI that is currently scaring the AI chip makers doesn't affect us....

Shorts are mercilessly pounding this stock. Short interest up another 2 million shares over the last 2 week period - 12-31 to 1-15. The Corning earnings release conference call has information that may be helpful to Lumen investors, for example, "We launched the first outside plant deployment of Corning's new Gen AI fiber and cable system that enables Lumen to fit anywhere from two to four times the amount of fiber into their existing conduit." ... " just this month, we started shipping, and Lumen has begun deploying our new data center interconnect products." Lumen continues to plod along with the same fundamental problem. Despite selling off a variety of assets, the debt to revenue ratio is still wrong and it really has not improved. Utilities and utility services generally do well with a 1 to 1 ratio. Lumen has a ratio of 18 to 13, too much debt for the amount of revenue generated. And all the asset sales did not help the situation because it didn't improve the ratio. As a side note, VZ has the same problem, which explains the lackluster stock performance after a great quarterly report....

Gonna keep going up... After earnings the company showed it move to profitability, debt no longer an issue after restructuring, contracts and demand -- wow lots more coming and some already in place. Look at the promised future spend from magnificent 7. This is not about a 1 time but of chips or hardware. It supports revenue here on going with month to month lease fees, service fees and subscriptions to the cloud. This will continue green or be a takeover target by private equity. So Bullish.......

How to make enormous returns from Lumen stock on a continuous basis without complicated strategies or risky options trading. It was possible to invest in Lumen at a very low level, many on this board did. Let's use $1000 as an example. It was then possible to sell Lumen at a substantially higher level yielding 11X the original investment, that would be $11,000. The $11,000 could then be invested into VZ, which at that time was yielding about 6.5% in dividends or $715 annually on the $11,000 realized from Lumen. So now what is the yield on the $1000 originally invested into Lumen? It is $715/$1000 or 71.5% annually. And that yield could continue to grow since VZ has a good record of increasing dividends. This example does not account for taxes....

Since January 27th, this stock has traded in a very tight range of $4.78 to $5.10. This is just over 2 weeks. It looks like it's starting to form a nice base or corkscrew. Look at the one month chart. It could be trading in this range for another 4 to 8 weeks. At that point it could be a dramatic move down or up. Attention. All retail investors. Send a complaint to each of the major institutions (Blackrock, State Street, and Vanguard) make sure you CC the SEC and FINRA. Tell them you are concerned about the conflict of interest inherent in principal lending of shares by ETFs sponsors when they are supposed to track the index passively (e.g. Russell 2000), among many other indexes. The ETF prospectuses say they aim not to actively manage the ETF, and their goal is to track the index. At the same time their prospectuses say they can lend out 1/3 of the funds assets. Ask them how they justify lending out stock such as LUMN while remaining passive and not actively managing. Interest rates appear to be going up, check the ten year T bills ^TNX. The current President doesn't seem to have a clue as to why.
