At a certain point, and we are getting close, AMC bondholders will no longer extend the repayment schedule or accept increasingly worthless shares in a debt for equity swap. The creditors will take the losses as a tax write off. In many cases, this debt has already changed hands as it was scooped up by speculators who made a bad mistake. Nobody owns this junk paper at par value....

Overnight up 1.4% as I type this. In the thin pre-after markets the bulls light purchases makes AMC look to open green - but when the big boys enter (especially after lunch) it just falls flat again and again. They can dilute as approved so meanwhile AMC needs DEEP cost cuts closing many cinemas, then upgrade the experience to a level one can not do at home - Incl. alcohol in cinema, butler service, better screens/sound, presentations by actors/directors pre-post film, movie club to discuss the movie after and so on. This old model will not work. Personally I think it is too late to avoid bankruptcy....
