convertible arbitrage is an albatross. does anyone know if any of the $400 of convertible debt got converted into shares at $3/share when the stock ran up over $4? if not, it wouldn't surprise me if plug eventually drops the conversion pricing in order to try to clear out that overhang so they can then focus on the $1.4billion or so of potential warrant funding at $7/share. either way, this is a playground for the converts. doesn't seem like a coincidence to me that the number of shares shorted roughly equals the combined number of shares that could be issued at $3 and $7....

Plug hopes to be profitable by the end of 2028. By that time Plug will have run out of cash and will have to borrow or dilute shareholders. And never forget that Plug management's prophecies of profitability in the past never materialized, the first being in 2009: "By executing its strategy, Plug Power plans to be profitable by 2012." \~From the company website, Oct 13, 2009. Any DC deal involving Stream Data certainly won’t be made public before they close the sale on or before June 30 with the outside chance there is a delay . Plug won’t be announcing this but Stream Data more then likely. Plug may not announce anything until after Stream Data releases their Info . We will have to watch wait and see.
